AUSTIN - Gov. Rick Perry and Democratic challenger Bill White agree that while plans to build a mosque near Ground Zero have stirred controversy, they don't object to a local decision affirming the Islamic group's right to build it. A New York City planning commission voted this week to clear the way for a planned Islamic community center and mosque near the site of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

I suck for posting the truth about Ick Perry. Boohoo.
RE: That’s one sure way to show that you’re losing the debate.
No that is one way of exposing statist-loving faux conservatives who disgust me.
I once saw Rick Perry punch an America Flag right in the face. Then he shot a bald eagle with a Javelin anti-tank missile, high-fived Karl Marx and ran over an adorably little puppy with a tank. Twice.
I don’t follow your links, South. Sorry. So yes, it was a waste of bandwidth.
This is why I like Sarah Palin or Michelle Bachman; I don't feel either one of them is true "Presidential material", but I feel confident that they can do the job that "we-the-people" want them to do, (with the help of a very strong and talented cabinet and advisors). I'm not a feminist in any way whatsoever, I strongly oppose women leading men. But in these times there is an exception to that rule, as in UK in decades past with Margeret Thatcher, and in times gone by where Joan of Arc did a divinely magnificent job of leading men. Men today simply don't remind me of the American men I grew up knowing and admiring. Feminism, political correctness and narcissism are what I see in many, if not most, of our male political leaders today. Let's face it, they're running scared of political correctness, leaving their backbones, virtues and characters in the dustbin in lieu of power and money. And they're so phoney one can see through them like looking through a clear window.
I do not, at least, view Palin or Bachman as phonies in any way. With them what you see is what you get. And these times do not demand perfect speeches and perfect "Presidential models", they demand honesty, a love for America, a love for God, a love for our Constitution, and a love for the people they serve. Many people, including the "experts" of the times, (Generals, politicians and other learned Americans, did not think George Washington was the right man for the job. His military experience was shallow, and he was not a "tried and tested" leader. But he had heart and guts, and he loved the concept of a FREE AMERICA, and would sacrifice whatever it took to make that happen. That is what is needed today, once again.
In the interests of full disclosure, you support Palin and/or Bachmann??? Just who are you "botting" for? Some of you California weanies apparently get the vapors when a man walks into the room.
Yes, Big. He is.
When did Perry ever say that he was for gay marriage?
You've pointed out nothing but your ignorance.
"Always" you say?
So how do you justify RINO Rick's comment that he supports a Constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage when states like NY, MA etc have already established that gay marriage is legal according to their state law? Are you bright enough to see the contradiction?
LOL
Right but
In order to have a constitutional amendment, it has to go to all the states and be voted on. If the majority vote yes, then it is ratified —by the states—.
But at the moment it is up to each state.
That’s the Rule of Law.
He has never been against State’s Rights.
You mean like how Perry fip-flopped on gay marriage right?
Our governor Perry did NOT creat the jobs in Texas. We have a business friendly climate in Texas and thats great. But he did nothing to create the climate or the jobs. The only thing I will give him credit for is signing Tort reform. But he has pulled lots of crazy crap here in Texas. Just sayin...
Rick Perry molested my cat.
Rick Perry ate my homework.
Rick Perry slapped my momma.
Perry supports states rights when the polling data suggest that he should.
He's such a staunch supporter of the Tenth Amendment he supports it doing stuff it doesn't even include. Like killing babies. And changing the meaning of words.
Newsflash. The last two Republican presidents came from your state. And they weren't all that.
they don't object to a local decision affirming the Islamic group's right to build it.
It's up to the idiot New Yorkers (NY FReepers excluded of course) to get this monstrosity halted.
