Though even FOX News was over the top with continuous coverage of Irene, I doubt anyone can outguess nature. So the warnings were in order. However, I think that all across the country people prayed that the storm be rendered either less powerful than expected, or that it would turn back out to sea before landfall. I think our prayers were answered for the most part. Thank You, Lord.

Amazingly, the Federal government was ringing up debt at a faster rate than Irene was causing damage.

The hurricane may pass out to sea but the torrent of red ink continues.
