The LA Times didn't set out to hurt Perry. This piece (and others like it in other Left Wing Media) is designed to make Conservatives WANT to vote for Perry.
They WANT Perry to win the Republican nomination.
Perry is a Bilderberger. A Perry vs Obama match up is win-win for the Global Elite. Just as was Bush vs Kerry & Bush vs Gore and Clinton vs Dole & Clinton vs Bush I.
They set up an "election" where no matter who wins, American Patriots LOSE. The one the Globalists HATE is Sarah Palin. Because they don't own her & they can't control her. That's why they are terrified of her.
I’ll have to differ with you on Palin. She’s their fallback plan in case liberty-lovers on the right don’t fall for the usual suspects. They would not give her the attention they do if she was a true threat to them, they would black her out. They did the same thing with her that they are doing with Perry in this article - focusing liberal hate on them so that conservatives think they are one of them without investigating the details too closely.
I’ve been hearing this “The left is playing 3-D chess” thing for years and it’s just too silly. Liberals demonize and attack—they don’t set up these complicated “We’re SAYING we don’t like him, thus proving we DO like him” scenarios because they DO NOT WORK.
The things they criticize Perry for are things they have always disagreed with, so I just don’t see this “Ah-HA!” stuff. It strikes me as just folks who don’t like Perry coming up with some bizarre reason why when the same people who attack their chosen candidate attack Perry it isn’t the same thing.
What about an article bashing Palin?
What about one praising Perry.
Maybe we should all just put a pillow over our heads and hide under the bed. They're gonna get us, unless maybe we should just let you two tell us who to vote for, you seem to be brilliant enough to catch the plot. Whew!
Palin also said in 2008 she was for a path to citizenship for illegals and said deporting the 12 million illegals would be "inhumane". She also said she was opposed to "total" amnesty.
My point here is Palin looks like she can play ball too. She is not pure as you have christened her. If Palin can say these things while running with McCain and say something different now, what makes you think she can't be swayed?
Perry has an actual record of job creation and taking on Obama in courts and in person.
