[T]he House of Representatives rejected a Bush-backed economic bailout plan in a vote in which two-thirds of Republicans voted no. The impression this made on the electorate was not helpful to our cause. Millions of Americans were poised to go bankrupt or lose their savings, and the perception was that Republicans had failed to respond. [Page 270] Going Rogue

Palin also said in 2008 she was for a path to citizenship for illegals and said deporting the 12 million illegals would be "inhumane". She also said she was opposed to "total" amnesty.

My point here is Palin looks like she can play ball too. She is not pure as you have christened her. If Palin can say these things while running with McCain and say something different now, what makes you think she can't be swayed?

Perry has an actual record of job creation and taking on Obama in courts and in person.

In 2010, Palin also endorsed several establishment "RINO" candidates (Brandstad, McCain, Fiorina, et al) over the "true conservative" candidates. Was it because she supported the most conservative candidate that she believed could win? Or was it because she knew the most conservative candidate had no chance, and she wanted the person who could win to owe her politically? Either way, it was a political calculation, not a sign of philosphical purity...
