I didn’t bother reading Bush’s book or any other modern political memoirs. But Cheney’s book I’d like to read. He’s honest and I’m sure hits hard, just like always.

Ditto. Can't remember the last time I bought a political memoir. They are usually dull and self-serving. But this one I do want to read. The guy always told it like it was.

I’m sure hoping it will be available for download on my Nook, which is a Barnes and Noble e-reader for those of you who may not know.
I need to be able to enlarge the print these days. —Screw the “golden years”—LOL!

Can't remember the last time I bought a political memoir. They are usually dull and self-serving. But this one I do want to read. The guy always told it like it was. As I understand it (from the early reviews), he really exposes the truth about Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice, both of whom are, at best, labeled with the RINO tag.
Had Vice President Dick Cheney (a genuine American Patriot) been given complete control over our strategic aims, I have no doubt that we'd be living in a far better world.

It was just a left-wing lie that Cheney was really running the government. If only. The man understands our enemies and what needs to be done to protect us.
I used to respect Powell for his career and accomplishments, even though I disagreed with him on many things. But ever since he knowingly watched Scooter Libby go to prison for what his own chief of staff did without even telling the President the truth, I've had no respect at all for him.

Happens every time. A liberal writes a book = no sales.
A conservative writes a book = top of NYT best sellers list. Totally cracks me up!

Cheney, if given the opportunity, could have been one of our greatest presidents.

Ditto to what you said. I agree. America would not be in the mess we are in now.

Death stays up nights, petrified with fear that Dick Cheney might stop in on him in the wee small hours.

Even in his present physical condition Cheney stands head and shoulders above any potential candidate, Republican or Democrat, for the office or president.
