Yeah, I heard that too. If we're hit hard around here, I completely believe it. There are so many trees that cleanup could be very time consuming here in the 'burbs. We bought our large back-up generator in advance of Y2K, more because of our experience with PECO than because of Y2K. We're not in a subdivision, so we're typically at the end of the restoration queue. The crews (understandably) focus first on restoring power to critical infrastructure, hospitals, etc, and then on neighborhoods which have a lot of homes in the dark due to a single problem. Restoring one-sies and two-sies comes last.
