She’s not supposed to get here to us until about 11pm - just like Isabel. It’s been raining here since 5am.
This is an odd storm. I can’t recall a greater disparity between the low central pressure (*still* around 950, despite all the interaction with land) and the not-terribly-impressive wind levels. It’s a CAT 1 storm with CAT 3 pressure. Irene may turn out to have more staying power than you’d expect from the wind category alone.
