It’s not playing the “elites game”. It’s laying the foundation for a serious Presidential run.
I get that she’s received death threats. Almost everyone in the public eye has received death threats. It comes with the territory.
Serious presidential candidates make up their minds. That shows leadership. Serious presidential candidates participate in primary debates. To fail to do so makes it look like a candidate is afraid of something. Serious presidential candidates hire staff and start fundraising in advance of filing deadlines and get themselves on the ballot in primary states. The Florida primary could be as early as January 31. That doesn’t leave much time to build momentum and more importantly, overcome her very serious negatives.
Outside the echo chamber of FR she’s just not that popular. She has the conservatism and optimism of Ronald Reagan but she doesn’t have the polished delivery of a long time actor and spokesman and she doesn’t have the bank of goodwill he had. The Left absolutely despises her and the middle doesn’t respect her. And like it or not, we need part of the middle to get rid of Zero.
She needs to enter the race and start to change people’s minds. She’s not going to be able to do that if she only leaves a few months, most of which will contain the distraction of the holidays when people are more focused on family than politics.
This isn’t directed at you, DJ, but to whom it may concern: Don’t bother attacking me, calling me a troll and accusing me of false concern. I like Cain but if he doesn’t gain traction I will pick another candidate. It still could be Palin. I am concerned and the more ugliness I see from her supporters around here the less likely I will be to support her in the end. So don’t bother responding if all you’re going to do is attack me, you’re just turning more and more people off. If you want to respond, stick to the issues. TIA!
Sure it is. The press sets a fake deadline and then pushes constantly that Palin is "dithering" while other candidates all jump and dance to the MSM's tune. If that's what you expect of Palin, you'll be disappointed.
