In Texas they have:

1) No state income tax
2) Right to work
3) Drill baby drill
4) Tort reform—loser pays
5) Part time state legislature

Imagine if the the rest of the country followed suit!

Hope and change!
Yes we can!
You betcha!

80% of my family is in Texas, with many out of work and unemployment around 7-8%. Its a joke. Don’t believe everything you hear.

We don’t commit the same sins as the lefties do when they want to only tell the part of the story that supports their position, do we?

While over 126,000 net jobs were created in Texas over the last two and a half years, the labor force expanded by over 437,000, meaning that overall Texas has added unemployed workers at a rate much faster than it has created jobs.

In contrast, Michigan lost 29,200 since February 2009, but the state’s labor force has shrunk by over 185,000 in that same time operiod. Thus, while there are fewer jobs, there are significantly less workers looking for them.

If you needed a job, which would you prefer?

We average 1000 people moving to Texas every DAY! Most are looking for a job. That is what keeps the unemployment rate as high.

We must be helping other states unemployment rates because their unemployed are moving here.

I know two accountants who have changed jobs in the past year...took about 3 months. One had to re-locate but if you want a job you can get a job.

Get rid of the Franchise Tax, close the border, eliminate the Lone Star Card (food stamps) and other entitlements and we would explode here in Texas. Not likely to happen with anything but a TEA Party government.
