Primary polls can be erratic, so the rule is not to get too worked up about any one set of numbers. But now there have been five surveys conducted since Rick Perry announced his presidential campaign one each from Gallup, Rasmussen Reports and Public Policy Polling, and two from YouGov. Each shows Mr. Perry having vaulted into a lead over Mitt Romney.
On average, Mr. Perry gets 26 percent of the vote in the new surveys, as compared to 16 percent for Mr. Romney. By comparison, in polls conducted in the month prior to Mr. Perrys announcement, he averaged 14 percent to Mr. Romneys 21 percent.

I notice Romney now tacking to the right on issues. Prior to Perry he was basically ignoring Tea Party conservatives and trying to appeal to moderates and indies (thinking he had nomination wrapped up). LOL!
If Romney had a spine, if there were just ONE principle he believed firmly in - and would stand up for; then maybe I could get behind him. But, I have no doubt whatsoever that if the polls supported Cannibalism, he’d find himself justifying that practice.
Hope and PRAY Romney doesn’t get nominated. The national party bosses are backing him and dusting off Chris Christie if he doesn’t get nominated.
Romeny and Christie might be better than Obama, but they will only slow the actions of the Statist left not REVERSE them and THAT is what we need in Washington.
We were lucky enough to get Reagan, not a Ford or a Nixon after Carter. Let’s hope we can do the same thing now that B.O. is faltering.
There is ONE principle Milt firmly believes in.
That he is ENTITLED to the GOP’s nomination
after Team Romney backstabbed the GOP ticket
in 2008 to give us all, voila - Obama.
I would vote for casey anythony over obama.
Yeah, Mitt’s goin’ down for the count.
I don’t really trust Perry, but as a poster on here pointed out yesterday, he has a flawless track record of backing down and doing a 180 whenever the people figure out what mischief he is up to and start squawking.
I have no doubt the RNC will not hesistate to stab us in the back and nominate Mitt. After all, they stabbed us in the back with Juan McCain. It’s the Tea Party’s duty to throw such overwhelming support to someone else, that the RNC cannot do this.
Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.
Ergo, Governor Rick Perry is good for conservatives. [if A=B and B=C, then A=C]
Ok, that may be the funniest post I’ve seen all year. And the sad part is...there’s a lot of truth in that statement.
good pic...Perry was already thinking of the future in politics from the looks of that pic...I bet he figured it would come in handy..and it did (my dad was fighter jock..I know what their yearbooks look like)
Obama looks like I did..stoned...and he has that Starsky and Hutch Huggie thing down pat
Record broken?
The only people that want Romney support the Democrats. Dems want to run against Romney because they know he will lose.
/yawn
yeah I don’t understand why y’all won’t look seriously at what Perry has in his closet. Not saying it is enough to harm his candidacy, just saying the American people need to hold EVERY politician’s feet to the fire.
Reminds me of the “yawns” in regard to Obama’s issues prior to the election.
