I used to work in the hotel business (corporate headquarters.) Anytime any of the hotel pros had to stay in a hotel—any hotel—they brought their own sheets, pillows, blankets, towels, etc. It really is nasty. I prefer a tent.

This thread is confirming all my phobias about motel rooms.

I already throw the bedspread in the corner, and won’t use the remote. Or walk barefoot.

Now it’s bedbugs, and this?

Some hotel chain could do well publicizing that they literally wash the entire room, bedspread, carpet all of it, every new guest. Bedbug treatment. Wash the pillows. Sanitize the phone.

Everything.

Heck most charge so much, it would be a great angle. What would a complete sanitize of every room cost to pull off?

$20 maybe? When done in bulk.

Bet it would pay off.
