Two years ago - two months ago, even - if anyone suggested that Americans would consider a Christian conservative Republican governor of Texas for President, they would have been laughed at, if not scolded for bringing up painful memories. After eight years under George W. Bush, who wants more?......
So, here's a primer on the man you're going to hear more about as the primaries approach. He'll be a formidable candidate, more because of the ways he differs from Bush than for some of the things they have in common.
He's self-made. Though Perry was lieutenant governor to Bush's governor, his political career actually predates Bush's. He has held office in Texas for more than a quarter of a century. That gives him a different network of loyalists and supporters - and a different cast of critics.
He's shrewd......
He's an optimist.....
He's been successful.....
He's conservative.....

I am really starting to get annoyed with these self-appointed police that decide who is a Texan, and how much of a Texan they allegedly are. And it’s especially annoying when coming from people who are from somewhere else than Texas and moved here and now think they’re Texan.
Interesting article. Sounds exactly what my friends who were born and raised in Texas have been telling me for months.

"the best way for the federal government to improve healthcare is to stimulate job creation so more Americans are covered by employer-sponsored health plans. Creating jobs will also reduce the strain on public safety net programs like Medicaid, saving taxpayer dollars."
If elected, he promised to repeal Obamacare calling it "a misguided, unconstitutional and unsustainable government takeover of our health care that will undermine patient quality, increase red tape and send costs skyrocketing for taxpayers, patients and healthcare providers."
I have not heard many of the other GOP Candidates talk specifically about what they'd do like Rick Perry is doing.

“Palin is coming”
Sarah Palin will not be our next President. She need to continue to be a strong voice for Conservatism and raise money for our side..but she will not be the next POTUS.
