One thing I REALLY look forward to reading about is how someone in a similar position went to BofA headquarters and blew the brains out of some executive there.
I made a sizable payment to my credit card, but it was early and the bank considered it a second payment in the same period. This meant that I was still liable for a payment in the next period.
It sounds like this woman ended up making an additional principle-only payment on top of her monthly payment, but was still liable for the whole mortgage payment for the next period.

When I use the Internet, I aways get a confirmation immediately and print it. Then I double check the balance for each account. I have never had any problems getting such transactions corrected.
I can also usually get overdraft fees and late payment fees reversed, since they rarely occur. Once I forgot a payment, and called about an hour after the cutoff. The customer service clerk was reluctant to agree to waiving the fee. I told her that I would just wait 29 days to make the payment, unless she gave me a break, and she agreed to do it.
I have never had a problem with either US bank or Bank of America. With some banks, I sometimes have to ask to speak to the supervisor or manager.
One thing to point out is that I almost never keep any material deposits with a bank where I have a loan. In cases of dispute, they can simply debit your account for the amount they want. Most of the fine print on your loan documents give them this right.
Blue Cross and USBank can trace it. The problem is the employees either don’t know how to do it or they don’t want to take the time. I would have been nasty and said: “If you can’t do it, fork over your records because I can.”
Medical payments have become a nightmare thanks to the insurance and medical providers’ billing practices and government regulations and programs.
Oh I was absolutely certain that what you say is correct.
I had no doubt whatsover that had it been in the interest of Blue Cross to do so US Bank had and would provide the records.
And it was not just a lazy teller I actually had a very unpleasant sitdown with the US Bank manager over it.
Blue Cross messed up repeatedly and it became totally not in their interest to admit it.
