Christie: Climate change is real
By MAGGIE HABERMAN | 8/19/11 9:57 PM EDT
Chris Christie made clear he falls in the Jon Huntsman camp as opposed to the Rick Perry camp on the scientific-political issue of the week in the Republican primary:
In vetoing a bill (S2946) that would have required New Jersey to stay in a regional program intended to curb greenhouse gases a program Christie plans to leave by the end of the year the governor said "climate change is real."
He added that "human activity plays a role in these changes" and that climate change is "impacting our state."
**SNIP**
Christie's come full circle on the issue. Last year, he told a town hall audience in Toms River he was skeptical climate change is the result of human activity. He backed off those comments at a conference of environmentalists in May and agreed to meet with climate scientists for a lesson in global warming.

Bye bye Chris. I really liked your attitude but now you’ve screwed up big time.
Oh come now, you know it was George Bush and his time/weather machine that started all this 10,000 years ago.........
He’s toast. Absolutely unelectable.
Anyone who jumps on a bandwagon when the wheels have clearly fallen off the bandwagon is politically tone deaf.
If he’s thinking of running for President, he should stop now.
Here’s a May 2011 article on New Jersey’s support of and participation in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI):

(Excerpt / Intro):
NEW YORK (May 26, 2011) New Jersey residents solidly support the states participation in the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, a program that generates jobs, revenue and investment in their clean energy economy, according to new Public Policy Polling (PPP) survey results released today by the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC).

Economy Change is real too. And the economy will get much colder when the “green scientists” have their way. The devastation will be much worse than anything envisioned by Al Gore. (Well maybe not, Al can envision alot.)
Yes, there’s spring, summer, fall and winter!
Its not good for me to hate people and get all emotional but Christie is showing us his liberal side.
He was the more liberal candidate in the primary for Governor in 2009. Steve Lonergan was the conservative.
Still, I will admit that Christie was willing to take on the pay scales in education asking for a teacher pay freeze and capping the salaries of school administration.
That was good.
He’s made his appearances at pro-life events as well to say he’s pro-life.
That’s OK.
But in other areas he is the RINO.
The issue is: Can humans cause it? Can humans make it better? Or worse?
This gets lost in the noise.
We should be asking these candidates what if anything they are going to do about "climate change". Then vote for the ones who say "I will do nothing".
Climate change IS real.
Yesterday it was raining and today it’s sunny.
Soon it will get cold and later, it will get warm again.
We, out here in The Ignorant Wasteland call these remarkable phenomenon “The Weather” and “The Seasons”.
“Humans can change climate on at least a local scale,. . “
That I can accept, and thank you for your post.
I would tell Christie that he can believe in all the phony scientific studies he wants, just don’t spend a dime of my money on cap and trade and more EPA regulations. You can believe what you want; just don’t use my money for your naive and unfounded belief systems.
What is not often discussed is that this global warming mania has resulted in more diplomas awarded in environmentalism than in physics and chemistry. And,thanks to global warming grants, these environmental researchers are making more money than the ‘hard’ scientists.
Sorry if I offended environmental researchers, but I will go with the words of Frances Bacon:
“Argumentation cannot suffice for the discovery of new work, since the subtlety of Nature is greater many times than the subtlety of argument.”
Has it warmed up over the last 10,000 years? Yes.
Was it caused by man? No.
Agreed - that's what REAL science says, not what the fraudulent, politically- and monetarily-driven "consensus" says.
Here's another question:
IF there is global warming, and IF it is a "bad thing," and IF it is caused mostly by mankind, and IF we can do something about it without crashing the already fragile and dying world economy (which crash would result in mass starvation and world war), then CAN IT BE DONE WITHOUT CHINA AND INDIA BEING SUBJECT TO THE SAME STANDARDS?
The answer is clearly, "No" - meaning that the proposed set of solutions to this non-problem is purely driven by politics and corruption, both with a heavy anti-US bias. Meaning that as a presidential candidate, Chris Christie makes a fantastic governor of the Peoples Republic of New Jersey.
Take note, Anne Coulter. You are on the cusp of being written off as a serious conservative if you keep talking up this guy.
Other than his Youtube “me vs the teachers” videos, the only thing he’s good for is Gov of NJ.
Climate change is real. I mean yesterday it was 80 degrees sunny light breeze, and right now it is foggy 60 no wind.
I am in full agreement that climate change is real and I would add that only a fool would believe otherwise. The climate has been changing as long as there has been such a thing as climate. Where I part company with Christie is when he says that human activity is causing it or that there is man made global warming. The clowns have corrupted the language at every opportunity so that now it is assumed that climate change can mean only anthropogenic global warming, it is like saying that animal can only mean Kangaroo. Actually climate change could mean any one of a very long list of things, even non-anthropogenic global COOLING which seems to be what is actually happening and it is what was being predicted long before they switched over to the global warming hue and cry.
“Oh, I’ve done a 360 on that.”

Braun was just explaining that she is dizzy from going in circles.
Golleeee, thanks, I didn’t know that. Zero point zero is exactly how much money I have but I don’t want to buy Google, can I buy Ford with that?
