Sorry for re-posting. The original was directed to a single Freeper by mistake. I think this would make for a worthwhile discussion about where true American conservatives should look for its next leaders.
_________ is a citizen who happens to be in politics.
Dear Freepers:
The above is a quotation from someone on this thread with the name Palin removed. I have done so because I believe that, while my own personal choice is Sarah, it is the thought expressed in the statement that endears her to me. This sentiment expresses both what [I believe] is needed at this time and what the Founders envisioned so that America might be governed by something strikingly different from what they strove to break free from: an oligarchy of men whose job it was to ensure their own power, their own rule and whose rule was becoming increasingly oppressive to the people. In the wisdom of our Founders, citizen-servants were the desired people to lead, not a ruling class, not an elite, not a strata of folks removed from the people. If this is your belief as well, kindly submit a name you feel should be placed in the blank, type it out and make your case.
Rand Paul is a citizen who happens to be in politics.
I sense that he is also of the same class of citizen public servant, as Sarah Palin. There are others, and more are coming.
Sarah Palin fits the criteria. She started out in the PTA. Tea Party Patriots serving in the House are also American Patriots. Mike Lee in the US Senate.
Governor Palin is the only thoroughly vetted, totally TEA PARTY credentialed conservative, with no ties to Washington, DC, and she has the record of taking out crooks in both parties.
