A Florida high school's "Teacher of the Year" was canned from the classroom for making homophobic remarks on Facebook, officials said.
Jerry Buell, a veteran social studies teacher at Mount Dora High School in Mount Dora, Fla., said on his Facebook page that he "almost threw up" when he read that New York legalized gay marriage last month, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
Buell also slammed the same-sex unions as a "cesspool" and called gay marriage "a sin," officials said.

Why is the fact that this is on Facebook even relevant? What if he, like Frank Turek, on his own time wrote a book expositing the harmful nature of homosexual behavior? Would he, like Turek, be fired for speaking the truth?
It's getting nauseating beyond words how the "gay" has become so sacrosanct, you can't say the least disparaging thing about it and not be stoned.
I think I'll go throw up now.

He shoulda molested one of his students — he’d still be in the classroom...

If this section does not run afoul of the 1st Amendment:
Posting as a citizen about a non-job related matter of public concern (elections, environmental issues, etc.) and making comments that negatively affect the districts effectiveness or efficiency or otherwise disrupt the workplace.
... then there is no 1st Amendment anymore...

The “gay marriage” movement has itself hijacked the “gay” movement.

The gay marriage movement has itself hijacked the gay movement. Amazingly, the homosexual activists of the 70's would be absolutely shocked by what is demanded now.
