Obama's State-of-the-Art Tour Bus Made in Canada

WASHINGTON -- President Obama is barnstorming the heartland to boost U.S. jobs in a taxpayer-financed luxury bus the government had custom built -- in Canada, The New York Post has learned.
The $1.1 million vehicle, one of two that Quebec-based Prevost sold the government, has been tricked out by the Secret Service with state-of-the-art security features and creature comforts.
It's a VIP H3-45 model, the company's top of the line, and is used by major traveling rock bands.

It’s highly unlikely that anyone came to Obama with a pile of brochures asking him which brand of tour bus he’d like. But it is more evidence that the people advising him are as clueless as he is.

The DUmmies were flipping out in 2004 because GWB’s bus was made in Canada. I’m more amused by the fact that once again, Obama is doing what Bush did, but now the DUmmies and their ilk will give Obama a pass when they drilled Bush for the same thing.
OTOH, I’m surprised to see that some of them are actually criticizing 0 for some things, but I’m just as certain that his ineptitude and hypocrisy will not prevent them from voting for him.

I’m looking for information on that “bus tour.” The WH schedule had bozo flying out of DC on the 15th to MN and a return schedule to Andrews AFB today on the 17th. Apparently he flew on Air Force One with the backup 747 plus the planes carrying the bus and other gear. Was the limo also taken on the trip?
Did he travel from MN to IA to IL on the bus or did he only get on the bus at airports, go into towns and return to AF One to continue to the next destination?
I guess my befuddled question (that man has that effect on me) is just how much time was he on the bus and how much mileage was put on the bus?
They bought it too. No lease they paid full price for a one time use. Dopes.
Sarah Palin’s was made in Coburg Oregon. She had it tuned up here last year.

I dont believe for a second they paid only 1.1 million for a Prevost. They go easily for a million plus to the general public and thats without all the armour and other stuff.
Having seen the movie Slapshot I can understand why manufacturing armored buses would be a big industy in Canada.
