One state legislative staffer said this in a conversation about Gov Palin. He did not think she was electable because she had certain verbal mannerisms and kind of public face that lent itself to being twisted into a hostile caricature. I asked him what he meant by this and his response was something like this. Having met Sarah Palin twice in GOP functions he said her face to face persona was in critical ways different from her public face when dealing with the media. Face to face with those who are at least neutral towards her she is a direct and clear spoken individual who understands the political process very well and knows what her core beliefs are and how they inform her views on political issues.

In public when dealing with the media she seems unable to be that person and instead tries to push off media people she rightly considers hostile with a sort of “Gee whiz I'm just Sarah from Alaska.’ act and focuses on a kind of light friendly banter dance to get through the pack of media sharks. Unfortunately this means the sharks can carefully go through the tapes frame by frame and select snippets that can be then tacked together to present the governor as some sort of bubble head and sap.

Further he said that Gov Palin should do fairly well in debates but BO is going to be primed like no candidate ever has for any debate so that he can look grave and wise and say a lot of high sounding bafflegab hoping all the while Gov Palin will sound lie Dusty Roads giving an award speech at the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Within the GOP, this fellow was very frank that palin is detested because she has not become an insider who looks on politics as a profession just like selling bonds or used cars in spite of being inside politics fir years. She is considered a potential menace to the framework of the give and take deal making and self dealing political mode and that fuels much of the generalized dislike for her per se in the party.

Hmmm, interesting.

“One state legislative staffer said this in a conversation about Gov Palin. He did not think she was electable because she had certain verbal mannerisms and kind of public face that lent itself to being twisted into a hostile caricature.”

Let me guess, this staffer is “anonymous?”

So, her verbal mannerisms will make her unelectable? Would these be similar to the verbal mannerisms of the idiot currently occupying the Oval Office? “Ah....let me clear....aaaaannnnddd....aahhh....” This is the same idiot who needs a teleprompter to speak to kids in a classroom. Please!

Sorry, but the Left always tell us who they fear by who they attack. Have you seen them go after Romney? Have you seen them go after Pawlenty? Have you seen them go After Cain? Have you seen them go after Newt? Now, have you seen them go after Palin? YES and Heck YES!

I could give a rats arse if Palin connects with the GOP elite in DC. The important thing is that she's connecting (in large part) with the American people. And this scars the crap out of the Left and the GOP establishment. There will be NO stopping Palin. She's the antithesis of Obama and the establishment types.
