Palin: “Could I Support Somebody Like Mitt Romney? Yeah”…

DES MOINES, Iowa — 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin said Friday that she still hasn’t decided if she’s going to run for president. Palin is also undecided about whom she would endorse if she ultimately decided against entering the race.

Swarmed by media and supporters at the Iowa State Fair, the former governor of Alaska told The Daily Caller that she’s not concerned that Mitt Romney is considered the frontrunner at this time.

“No, nothing worries me at this point,” Palin told TheDC. “Could I support somebody like Mitt Romney? Yeah.”

When TheDC pointed out that some tea partiers have pledged to make sure Romney doesn’t get the nomination, Palin said, “I’m of the mind of ABO — Anybody But Obama, at this time.”

Funny you mention ‘Colt’.. :)

When I was a Deputy, I had a 9mm.. I chose the 9 because it is what my dad said was best. He said the 9mm was clean and to the point (He was a Navy seal in ‘Nam.. then a Deputy himself)..

I carried a Taurus 92AF ***
*** (My shift would go out and practice once every week at the shooting range)***

One week, my Sgt. (A female that was scared of nothing ;) ) asked me to fire her handgun (.45 Colt 1911).. Honestly, I was terrified :O
She finally talked me into it (btw, my father started training me on gun safety when I was 2yo.. he had handmade my first rifle (.22) .. looked like a Marlin .22 level action, with a little curl on the lever).
At 9 years old, my birthday was the best rifle I have ever owned.. a Ruger mini-14.. and he added a 4x scope.

(hang with me.. this is partially relevant to this thread and also along the lines of the FReepmail I sent someone)..

I went to Uni.. had 1 full time and 2 part time jobs (plus the school hours.. I had to get a waiver from the deal to do 21 hours a week)..

After a year and 1/2, I ran out of money (I didn’t want any loans..) .. ended up homeless for about 2 weeks (middle of winter and living under an overpass)..

I gave up my ‘Pride’ and called my dad on a payphone (collect) and asked him to come get me.. I wanted to enlist..

I went into the USAF and got a perfect score on the firing range :D (actually I didn’t the first time around.. I was shooting the target next to mine, and that SOB got perfect >.<) ... but the next year, when we had to do firing score again, I got perfect..)..

OK.. going back to the main point.. I can shoot a rabbit at 200 yards with a rifle.. BUT, I was going by my father’s advice on a handgun.. and I hadn’t spoken to him in a few years..

SO, I had mastered handguns (9mm) and could (quickshoot (9 rounds (chamber included)1 inch squares from about 45 feet with a 9mm.
She asked me to fire her .45.. I was terrified! I never fired anything over .357 (and I never could hit crap with a revolver anyway :p .. and it had a pretty decent ‘kick’)

She set up the targets at 50 feet.. I remember trembling at the though of firing a canon.. .. I got in the Weaver stance..

**focused.. didn’t thing about the gun**
fired it .. ** hit the first 1 inch square (it was actually a 1 inch square chicken ;))

The kick wasn’t anything what I though it would be.. and I had an adrenaline rush from *obama* ;)

I asked her if I could continue... she said, “Of course!”
She gave me 5 seconds to hit all of the minarets (10 of them)..
I hit all of them with 1 second left :) didn’t miss a single one :D

Ok.. I am so sorry for hijacking this thread... it just brought back memories (Oh.. also, when I spoke to my dad after that.. he said he ‘upgraded’ to .45s because there was less mess).. I think he meant in the courts

I don't know why someone wouldn't follow her lead and support Romney if that is what she ended up doing.

You should know why if you've been paying attention...my gosh people have been posting Romney info for years!

Hey look I'm in Palins court if she runs.....but I will not be making my decision based on what another candidate thinks or who they might support and that includes who Palin might support if she doesn't run.

I never did the O’Donnell threads but I have been on a couple of the mega 1000 post Birther wars. Funny how the same groups of people seem to pick the same sides of those issues. Not always of course but I have gone around with 5 or 6 of the same names on both Palin and Birther threads.

And as you say, they seem to materialize pretty much around the same time. And stalk you on threads for a couple days to boot. Had a couple here today in fact. Then again, like to play... and I do it because I actually believe in what I’m saying. ;)

CULTIST!!! CULTIST!!! ;)

Too bad the geniuses don’t make that very real connection With RR and SP. Whatever happened to American Spine? Now it’s “Gotta like what my friends do cuz I wanna be loved by everyone!”

God I thought I left that crap in high school in 83.

You have some of the best graphics!

I only steal the best! LOL

We seem to have lost that know-it-all poster. I can’t recall his name.

Did his name remind you of a little kid tinkling? Heh...

Of the bigger handguns I have fired, (45ACP/44Mag/41 and 357)

The .41 revolver/6 in barrel about broke my hand. I have NEVER before or since seen anything that evil.

Of course the guy who owned it was a reloader and probably jacked his loads up pretty hot.

NEVER AGAIN! ;)

I have no ill for Bachman, Cain, DeMint, or any other tea party fellow travelers.

Same here. I'm a major Palin supporter, but you won't find me trolling the threads about other candidates, picking fights with their supporters and posting ugly, snarky comments about their chosen candidate.

I've been known to comment on Bachmann or Perry threads once in a while, but it's always my opinion of said candidate - never spittle hurling venom, like some of what I see routinely posted on Palin threads.

Call it the 800 pound gorilla syndrome. She attracts the most virulent attacks because that's what she is. It just drives some people up a wall that she is so close to what most conservatives are looking for in a leader, and that their chosen candidate doesn't stand a chance if she steps into the race.
