While Texas Gov. Rick Perry has made no formal announcement, he told Time magazine in an interview he wants to run for president.
"I mean I wouldn't be this far into the process. The issue of, 'is this what I want to do?' was dealt with about 45 days ago in a conversation with my wife," Perry said. "Prior to that, no.
Being the president of the United States was not on my radar screen from the standpoint of something I wanted to do."
Perry added he has a "calmness" in his heart about running.

No he will let the libs and RINOS continue to mess things up.
“It will be worth it, just to hear Perry tell Obama on January 20, 2013, Adios, Mofo!
LOL
Believe me, Perry is a RINO.
And who does....freekitty.....support?
Sounds good to me. I'm not a Perry guy yet - I still have some questions about some of his positions. That being said, he is one that I can see with a realistic path through the primaries and to the White House. A number of the other candidates might be able to win the nomination, but would probably get overwhelmed in the general election, though I am willing to be convinced otherwise.
You’re going to start hearing that audio clip a lot.
Well, miss...tell Palin to run and we’ll reconsider the chooses!? For some reason all the viable conservatives stay out of the races...when there’s plenty. Weird how that works.
I don’t use that word rhino unless it truly applies e.g McCain. Conservative only in name...well, that’s entirely different. If our problem is people who aren’t conservative enough...well, we’re talking about half the republican party. haha
I’d assume even 20-30% of this forum would fall under that category as well.
It looks more and more likely that Palin will not run. If that is the case, who would you support? And will you support the eventual nominee?
Anyone notice how Romney is gettin all strong-sounding lately, especially the last day or so> Its so uncharacteristic, I dont know whether its a necessary act, or the ridiculous heckling hes getting are just turning him rightward

Impossible not to notice. The “heckler” incident was purely orchestrated IMO - the provocation and the response.
We already have a taste here in Houston of that. We have a lesbian mayor that has already tried to pad the city council with her lesbian pals. The voters voted out the Red Light tickets because it wasn’t working. I told hubby if they don’t take them down; they will come back. Sure enough, our mayor put them back into operation against the voters wishes.
This is why we need good people. Liberals are not the only bad people around.
Don’t let the establishment choose your leaders anymore. We witnessed that pretty clearly when loser McCain became our candidate.
We are the voters and we elect who we want; not who they want.
Fine by me.
Also, there is no such animal as a moderate. These split I am this and I am this doesn’t wash. When you get someone like that; be prepared. Your interest is not their interest.
hahaha, I’ve never seen that video, only heard the audio.
Well damn dudette, perhaps you should start at the local level before telling the rest of the country how to vote.....
Look, smart aleck dude, I haven’t told anyone how to vote; so lower your decimal. Okay. I have expressed only my opinion.
Your bottom line is cheering but I don’t see the math that gets you there. I wish I did.
Fair enough. Oklahoma was the only state in the union that every single county voted against obama. You have a lesbian mayor, I do not. I like Perry, you don't. Save your simpleton opinions and let us know when you clean up Houston.....
Try being the moderate voice in the room when the conservatives are barricaded in one corner and the liberals are running around the rest of it fingerpainting the walls, throwing feces and setting fires. The California legislature is quite literally a lunatic asylum where the inmates have gotten their hands on steroids, Viagra and grenade launchers.
Once Arnold realized that there was basically no hope, he stopped fighting and just laid back and did his time. Then got reelected and did his time again. I almost felt bad for him. You could tell he tried, at least for a while, but California voters are largely passionate, well meaning idiots who are fully detached from reality. You really can't make much headway with those folks trying to govern from the middle.
The demographics per se are not the problem, its how the liberal / well meaning idiocracy of our citizenry have chosen to cultivate them.
