Katherine appears in the mag's September issue.
Handling the overwhelming media attention from her parent's scandalous split wasn't an easy feat for Katherine Schwarzenegger.
The oldest daughter of former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver is speaking out in Harper's Bazaar and addressing the love-child scandal that rocked her family and the country.
"Me and my siblings have never really been in the spotlight growing up," the 21-year-old tells the magazine. "My parents always really sheltered us, so when [the scandal] started happening, it was like everything came out of nowhere overnight."

Thank you!
What college did you go to should be the question? Did you read the comment correctly or did you fail English?
“I love how FREEPERS turn on people so easily. A few years ago he was the big hero on this site.”
I remember too. It was the decisions he made once he became governor that lost him support here.
I know that but why can’t folks see it BEFORE they are elected. I mean I could see it and I am far from the smartest guy in the World.
Me and my sibs say youse is wrong!
Thank you for a simple and erudite lesson in correct usage of the English language.
No, it is not. If you take the phrase "and my siblings" out of the sentence, what remains, "Me have never really been in the spotlight" is not grammatically correct. The correct way to say it is, "My siblings and I..."
Heck, I'm just a gal from South Mississippi, who graduated from a State University, but at least I know that!
Wonder when reality is going to sink in?
My verdict is "Switched at Birth."
“Everything happens for a reason.”
Well, duh.
THIS happened because your father didn’t honor his wedding vows and couldn’t keep his pants zipped. And your maid couldn’t keep her pants zipped either and had sex with a married man.
That’s the reason.
I hate it when people try to gloss over blatant wrongdoing with inane phrases.
In general, I agree with you. That said, we could probably cut a child a little slack when referring to a very sensitive family issue.
come on now...no call to beat up the kid
It's not just the younger generation! Have you listened to TV or radio folks lately? My pet peeve is the use of "myself", in lieu of "I", or "me", because they aren't sure of the correct usage of either of the latter two.
She’s 21.
She really shouldn’t have addressed it publicly at all if she didn’t want anyone to criticize her.
Of course she is going to support her parents. But to brush it off with “Everything happens for a reason” baloney is ridiculous. Maybe she is in denial.
Surely not an education victim; but why sound like one. OTOH; perhaps she...
I’ve never met her. I just remember her from when she used to be a reporter for one of the networks. She always looked unhealthy to me. Unnaturally too skinny.
Yea, darlin’, it does. And in this case, the reason is that your dad couldn’t stop chasing tail.
Krom ? Lol
No, it is not correct!
In this article, Katherine is referring to herself, which makes her the SUBJECT of the sentence - therefore, she must use the Subject Pronoun, which is “I”.
If she wishes to refer to herself as the OBJECT of the sentence, then she would use the pronoun “me”. (For example, she could have said, “My parents were very protective of me.”)
FYI - I have taught English grammar, writing, and speech and communications for the last ten years and I would never accept “Me and my siblings” from any of my students!
This 'me and...' is a pet peeve of mine, which given how often we hear it, the peeve itself is rising well past 'peeve' levels.
Seeing this picture, and 'this' daughter, preparing for 'Harper's' intro yet; is jarring.
