Three men died after they were hit by a car in a hit-and -run incident in Birmingham in the early hours of this morning.
The trio - two brothers aged 25 and 21 and a friend - had just emerged from a mosque and were on the streets protecting their car wash business after the previous night's violence, according to a family member.
Kabir Khan Isakhel, a relative of one of the dead men, told Sky News this morning that two cars approached at high speed and struck the trio.
He said: 'They were not in the way or blocking the road. The car swerved towards them. They were flying up in the air.'
They were hit while on Dudley Road, near the Jet Filling Station, close to the border with Cape Hill in Smethwick.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said the men died 'following a road traffic collision in the Winson Green area of Birmingham which detectives are treating as murder. 'The incident occurred just after 1am in Dudley Road.
'West Midlands Police have launched a murder inquiry, arrested one man in connection with the incident and recovered a vehicle from near the scene which will be examined by forensics experts.'
Police appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Firstly, I am watching the BBC (and every other UK tv news channel) and newsreaders arent crying over Muslims because of political correctness. In fact they arent heartrent at all. They are simply reading the news, so stop talking lies.
BTW, the one presenter I saw struggle to keep from crying last night was a female doing a story on the furniture store in Croydon burnt down after 150 years, and she was interviewing the upset WHITE owners, and their tears almost set her off.
Secondly, if there any Muslim youth rioting, then they are a tiny minority. Because these riots are heavily black, from the Caribbean community, teenage scum whose parents and grandparents came over in the 1950’s and 60’s. The other main section of rioters is white youth, chavs/neds, what you might call the worst trailer trash.
These rioters in fact have attacked and tried to attack mosques and islamic banks in London. There are in fact hundreds of Muslims out in London DEFENDING their streets and mosques. Not to mention the Turkish Muslims who gave rioters a kicking two nights ago.
Muslims in London and elsewhere have been out protecting mosques and islamic banks and buildings through the night, just like the other communities; Sikh, white, Turkish.....
These poor men have simply been out defending their streets and property.
Crap, it does look like battle lines are getting drawn. The gringos will simply watch watch from the sidelines while their women are used for “pleasure breaks” by these mobs.
Well, the British wanted “Multi-culturalism” and by golly, they’ve got it.

It irked me that the guy was called an “Asian”
Being from the British Commonwealth, Asian to me was China, Japanese, Far Eastern area..

strangely enough the BBC has no pictures of riots in Glouscester. Gloucester is full of pakistanis muslims, not blacks from Carribeans islands.

Gloucester has 2500 Muslims in a population of 136,000.
There are more Greeks, Irish and Chinese in that town than Muslims. And there are FOUR TIMES the amount of Afro-Caribbean blacks than Muslims.

What a load of crap. The Muslim population in Scotland is 42500, out of a population of 5 million. And that includes Turkish Muslims. And the vast majority are based in Glasgow.

Hi CC - the mosque is probably open 24/7 since it’s Ramadan (my neighbors are Jordanian and they’re off to the mosque for prayers every day during this month)
Last night was quiet here. Tonight - well, some build up two miles away in Eltham, but nothing much here yet. Few groups we have run off, but nothing serious. Though we are all despereately short of sleep!

You make sound points. The Sikh community, also, has been absent from the riots, and defending their areas. They are affected by the economic downturn - like everyone - but don’t feel the need to loot and vandalise.
If anything positive can be said about the Muslim community, it is their prevalence of two-parent families (as opposed to ghettos where unwed births are the norm). Though that factor alone does not seem sufficient to keep Muslim young men from antisocial behavior.
