WISCONSIN SENATE RECALL ELECTIONS BY DISTRICT:

TUESDAY:

SENATE DISTRICT 2:

Republican incumbent: Senator Robert Cowles of Allouez. First elected to state Senate in April 1987 special election.

Democratic challenger: Nancy Nusbaum of De Pere, a former mayor of De Pere and Brown County executive.

SENATE DISTRICT 8:

Republican incumbent: Senator Alberta Darling of River Hills. First elected to the Senate in 1992.

Democratic challenger: Representative Sandy Pasch of Whitefish Bay. Elected to Assembly in 2008, reelected

2010.

SENATE DISTRICT 10:

Republican incumbent: Senator Sheila Harsdorf of River Falls. First elected to Senate in 2000.

Democratic challenger: Shelly Moore, a teacher from River Falls who has also served as teachers' union organizer.

SENATE DISTRICT 14:

Republican incumbent: Senator Luther Olsen of Ripon. First elected to Senate in 2004. Served in Assembly 1994 to 2004.

Democratic challenger: Representative Fred Clark of Baraboo. Elected to Assembly in 2008, reelected 2010.

SENATE DISTRICT 18:

Republican incumbent: Senator Randy Hopper of Fond du Lac. Elected to Senate in 2008 by 163 votes over Jessica King.

Democratic challenger: Jessica King, an attorney in private practice from Oshkosh, born and raised in Fond du Lac.

SENATE DISTRICT 32:

Republican incumbent: Senator Dan Kapanke of La Crosse, First elected to Senate in 2004.

Democratic challenger: Representative Jennifer Shilling of La Crosse. Elected to Assembly since 2000.

Democray ends when the majority decide that they will vote themselves largess from the public trust and vote for the corrupt politicians who will willingly destroy the economy to support that end.

I support a Constitutional ammendment that makes it a crime for a Politician to bribe the people with programs that they will pay for with the peoples own money.

Gotta say I agree. Dems put together a NATIONAL EFFORT, with MSNBC as the Organizing organ.

We just don’t have anything like the gay media machine that the Dems have.

I think we’re going to see lot of records set by GOP in Darling precincts. Huge numbers reported out of Mequon, Germantown, and Menominee Falls too.

Here in Whitefish Bay the polls were packed, but don’t know if that is necessarily a good thing.

I expect 50/50 out of my wards here...

They knocked on 90,000 doors for this important election... why did the GOP ignore it?

The GOP didn't ignore it. The 90,000 doors was by an outside labor group. The money thrown into these recalls ($25-$40,000,000) dwarfs everything both parties have to throw in.

The union folks have more free time and a direct motivation to fight this one out. The GOP and conservative groups have made their presence felt, too. They just don't quite have the resources Big Labor has.

You would think that would work against the party that is traditionally soft on crime but who knows. People are so stupid and apathetic lately they might not care. Giving more power to the party that empowers the assailants makes no sense but then it is easy to overestimate the intelligence of American voters.

I don’t know much about Wisconsin politics, but it looks like Kapanke might be able to pull it off. If that’s the most vulnerable, it looks like the GOP is cruising for a victory, but it’s still early.

Imagine, the GOP might actually be able to gain seats with the Dem recalls next week.
