two Dem senators facing recall elections in one week.

You know what they say - you want to win at home, tie on the road ...

A split next week would be great. Would make it 18-15 GOP. With only that putz Hopper losing [by a close margin] ...

They lost so huge tonite. Their best district only gave them a 55-45 win. Hopper couldn’t keep it in his pants and they still only won it 51-49.

I hope we pick up both seats next week, but I’ll take one.

12:44 AM: King says voters knew her, Hopper better than in ‘08

Dem Jess King came up 163 votes short against Republican Randy Hopper in their 2008 race. On Tuesday, she bested him by 1,251.

She said the difference is voters got to know them better over the past three years.

“It has to do with constituents really getting in touch with their public servants,” she said. “I think the grassroots effort of 23,000 constituents in the district was saying we want to exercise our constitutional rights to elect a representative who will truly represent us in the democratic process.”

The district is home to the highest concentration of public employees outside Dane County, and Hopper, R-Fond du Lac, was considered vulnerable heading into Tuesday’s election in part because of his vote for the guv’s collective bargaining changes that outraged public employees.

Some of the results Tuesday may reflect that, particularly in Waupun, home to one of the state’s prisons.

The southern half of the city is in Dodge County, and Hopper won that portion of the district by 322 votes three years ago. On Tuesday, King won it by 164 votes.

Hopper also saw his margin drop off dramatically in Fond du Lac County, where he won by 1,865 votes Tuesday compared to 4,094 votes in 2008 with turnout somewhat lower than three years ago.

King’s margin in Winnebago County was also down from 2008, but not nearly the drop off that Hopper saw in Fond du Lac County. She won in Winnebago County by 2,952 votes Tuesday compared to 4,253 votes in 2008.

Still, King said her win was due to more than just public employees.

“Individuals who were independents, who self-identified as Republicans, Democrats, people who never got engaged, they really saw an extreme agenda,” she said.

The socialists of Wisconsin got their ass handed to them. This is a declaration against Obama. You have a fine Governor that will track WI through some troubled water.

12:48 AM: Pasch: ‘We fell short’

Dem Rep. Sandy Pasch issued a statement saying she fell short of her desired result, but called Tuesday “a victory http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifnonetheless.";

“Against the longest odds, on Republican turf and facing on onslaught of special-interest cash, a coalition of grassroots voters stood an entrenched Republican to a virtual tie,” Pasch said.

“All around the state, Wisconsin voters have stood up to the Scott Walker agenda that put our children, our working families, and our most vulnerable at risk.

Yeah, I just caught part of the Ed Shultz show from earlier tonight.

The spin evidently doesn't stop there.

....the fight against socialism-marxism that invades our less than educated idiots.

My boss is an incredibly intelligent, highly educated, Phd from UW-Madison, and he ia an educated fool when it comes to politics, including his 3 rabidly socialist valdictorian sons who all went to UW-Madison as well. Look at the overwhelming number of high school & university teachers who all espouse a liberal, marxist, socialist philosophy & agenda, even though they cannot name one single socialist program or country or state or city where socialism has EVER worked or been successful. To the educated idiots who support unions & vote for demoRATs & advocate socialism, I say to them, Romans 1:22, Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

I would venture to say that many less educated folks are more intelligent & perceptive & common sense than the liberal highly educated idiots! And I possess two college degrees as well, so I am not slamming education, just the overwhelming socialism that now pervades our entire education system.

I believe it was William Buckley who stated that he would rather be ruled by the first 300 names in the phone book, rather than the entire Harvard faculty. I wholeheartedly agree.

WHAT in the heck will OBOMBA say about this tomorrow?

Probably ignore it.

Or, BLAME it on somebody.

They did not get their message out fastidiously enough.

Yeah, that's the ticket.

How about:

"THE VOICE OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE IN 2011, LIKE THE MUSKET REPORTS AT LEXINGTON AND CONCORD, HAS BEEN HEARD LOUD AND CLEAR, FAR AND WIDE, CRYBABY MAN-CHILD KENYAN USURPER!!"

I am just thanking G-d that these twits don’t have ANYTHING to gloat about after this. Nothing. They were so thoroughly rebuked I hope the air conditioning breaks on their bus and the trip back to wherever they came from is like being on the road to hell. Hot, dirty, thirsty, and reeking of sulfer.
