So.....I’m wondering....should we all learn Mandarin or Cantonese? My opinion is go with Mandarin.
Bond people aren’t as skittish as stock market people. They have a much longer outlook, 5 yr, 10 yr, 30 yr. Stock market people, 5 min, 10 min, 30 min.............
I'm thinking Mandarin is a good idea, especially once the Chinese economy collapses and we head over there to capitalize on their national resources. Personally, if you're investing in education, I'd recommend engineering over language studies. The Chinese economy is 1/3rd of the United States, and they've a population of 7 times ours. Their 'powerhouse' status is, well, inflated. Hopefully we can get established in there before India does.

There is little doubt that S&P will downgrade the six insurers it still rates AAA, including the military-focused insurer USAA and the teacher-centric TIAA. New York Life, one of the six, told Reuters last month it had been told by S&P it could not have a higher credit rating than its sovereign.
I am sure the WH will also say the Tea Party was behind the Seal team being shot down as well. Biden and others keep saying they’re ‘terrorists’. They aren’t using that word and imagery for no reason.
They want to tank the economy, this is PLANNED and DELIBERATE. They knew what this would do and they drove the government to default on purpose to lose the rating and kill the currency in order to hammer at the economy while blaming the other side for it.
