What possessed the group to go there in the first place, and that not as individual or family visitors or tourists, but as a gang with the bullying of white people on their minds? What ever did the fair do to them that was (pardon the pun) unfair?

I left Memphis when I had to try to run over a yut attempting to carjack my car. He jumped in front of my car and went for his pocket. I ducked and pointed my car in his direction. To this day, I'm not so sure I didn't run over his foot. I did inform the police and they told me to call them if he showed up in my own OR.

This is just plain wrong.

In the past perfect tense you don’t say “would have ran,” you say “would have run.”

IMO, the parts about feeling “sad” and wanting to cuddle the kid were embellishments meant to reestablish his PC cred for even thinking about rolling up his window.

While he wouldn't ACTUALLY take the thug home (where the terrorizing would continue ending in robbery or worse), the fact that he feeeeeeeeeels that he ought to makes him a good person. (Live conservative, talk liberal, vote for someone else to do the work.)

This sounds like a sizable group, not your compact wolf pack, and other reports seem to have it that the fair was trying to get “integrated” somehow. I’d like to know how, say if liberal airheads in the middle of it all funneled a bunch of free tickets to Jesse Jackson types or “God damn America” preachers or worse?

It’s got zero to do with politics, and you are putting yourself at risk if you think so.

It has to do with thugs who think (and are probably right) that they can get away with it.
