Politico ^ | Aug 4, 2011 | Jonathan Martin

Posted on 08/04/2011 11:38:16 PM PDT by Clairity

Speaking today at the RNC meeting in Tampa, Jindal reprised his remarks on how to run against a president loathed by the right but viewed fondly, at least on a personal level, by much of the country's political center.

"I have no doubt that President Obama loves this country, I have no doubt that he spends every day trying to make things better, and I have no doubt that President Obama wants the best for this country."

I think I am going to be ill. This "we don't want to attack Obama" behavior by the Republicans is what got us Obama.

And in the meantime the Dems are gearing up for the most negative campaign imaginable, because Obama can't run on his record.

Obama supporters already on the attack for 2012 election

What a dipsh**! This statement is enough to make a person puke.

Et tu Jindal? Buh-bye. Obama HATES America Bobby, are you joking?! This is getting into “invasion of the body snatchers” territory.

Does anyone, ANYONE, outside of Louisiana, actually give a damn what he has to say?

He can't be president or VEEP; no matter what he might aspire to!

Contrast this with the way Trump talks about Obama.

Donald Trump Rips President Obama, Debt Deal

“but ultimately, what’s good for the country is to get a new president because we have a president now that has made this country the laughingstock of the world.”

This worked so well when McCain pulled this. So much for Jindal.

There was a time not too long ago, when some were touting him as great presidential material, remember, he even gave the Republican response after some Obama speech a while back. He didn’t sound very energetic then and seems to have gotten worse.

TRUMP: I don’t think — well, he’s certainly not smart when it comes to business. He’s certainly not smart when it comes to running a country. I don’t think this country has ever been so disrespected as we are right now. Other countries are laughing at us.

...all he does is campaign...

...He’s very bad for this country, and it’s very important that we have a great president. This country — and I’ve said this before — we are in big, big trouble. This country doesn’t need a good president. We need a great president, or we’re not going to come back for a long, long time, if ever.”

This is the kind of talk we need, Trump tells it like it is, not Jindal with his sugary statements about Obama.

"I have no doubt that President Obama loves this country, I have no doubt that he spends every day trying to make things better, and I have no doubt that President Obama wants the best for this country."

He forget the ever-popular Republican line: "There are good people on both sides of this issue [puncturing babies' necks and sucking out their brains]."

He'd make a good president, but a poor candidate. Too nerdy.

For VEEP, you want a breath of fresh air with loads of charisma. That would be Senator Marco Rubio, of Florida.

Yeah, that lame SOTU response doomed him. He was horrible.

Hard to believe he was on the POTUS shortlist a mere two years ago.

This is why republicans attacked Trump while Trump attacked Obama.

A brilliant plan...

Jesus Christ almighty, can we stop with this civilty?????

It’s clear to anyone with a brain 0bama hates this country and has for a very long time. Any destructive policy he passes is no accident.

“I also have no doubt that what President Obama thinks is best for this country is in reality a complete disaster”
The gov. is correct, his approach is correct. You will not win the the hearts nor heads of the nation with the vitriolic slander of the jr. high school boys.
Every time S. Hannity mockingly calls our president “the anointed one” I cringe. He continually castigated the left for their disrespect of Pres. Bush, yet when it was his turn to show respect for the man in the office with whom he disagrees he has failed miserably.

If he loves this country he has a funny way of showing it, by constantly talking down specific parts of the population, pointing out that we do things wrong, saying it needs to fundamentally change. You do not want to fundamentally change something that you love. It is that simple. “He really loves me, no matter what he says or does” reminds me of an abused woman. C’mon GOP, really? Is that who you are?
