The Communist Party USA is amping up its rhetoric as it prepares to confront the “Tea Party” and the GOP in the coming months.
Ohio Communist Party leader Rick Nagin sets the tone in today’s Peoples World:
The best thing that can be said about the distasteful debt ceiling deal is that it is behind us and hopefully the real challenges and issues facing the American people can now be frankly addressed.
The AFL-CIO leadership, which met with President Obama the day after the agreement was reached, correctly said the deal ignores and undermines the nation’s ability to confront the real problem – America’s job crisis. They blasted it as “a product of extortion by House Republicans,” one that is “even more right-wing than the average Republican.”
The labor leadership recognized that, given the balance of forces in Congress, Obama had no choice but to negotiate. Not to do so would have been politically disastrous, but doing so meant that Republican demands to slash essential programs and weaken Social Security and Medicare were on the table.

The age difference is pretty stark.
The average Tea Partier is probably in his mid to late 60’s. Commies tend to be a lot younger. Lots of college-age kids looking to be “romantic revolutionaries.”
And count on both sides being armed. The unions will see to that.

After Katrina... we were part of the law... both Military and Police needed armed citizens of moral character to stand up... and we did. I have lived under Marshall Law several times... I will do it again if it helps to save our Republic.
The big difference between us and these communist subversives is that they hate America... and most of us love her more than we love ourselves. That one was kind of a test run but I’m going to do another better version.
There are plenty of young tea party minded folks here in the north too. I plan to go to the Tea Party express stop in Hillsdale Michigan next month and should see a bunch of them there.

America is full of little rural towns where the kids still grow up much like we did. I can’t remember ever having any really liberal thoughts even as a teenager.
I never supported abortion, I grew up with guns so they were never an issue, While the military wasn’t for me I had plenty of friends who joined so I never had issues there. From what I can see, the kids in today’s small towns aren’t all that different.
I don’t know where you are but here in central Florida the meetings, when viewed from a distance, look like a sea of gray.
That’s great. Older people are the responsible people. They care about their kids and grandkids.
But they are not fit for brawling. Nor should they want to. If we are smart, we will avoid provocations and stick to the non-violent route. It has worked pretty well so far. The only bloodshed I’m aware of came at the hands of the SEIU in Saint Louis at that 2009 Carnahan townhall.

Amen to that. Also, I think the Tea Party's age demographic is skewed a bit here. For every member that is age 60+, there's someone age 35 - 50 who is ideologically identical but can't make the gatherings. You know... demands of work, family, kids still in school, etc. The Tea Party is not just a bunch of retirees, which is why the government demonizes it at significant peril.
Yes well this particular crowd will use nukes (if they have control of them)if they find their backs against the wall.
Obama and his ilk control nukes right now....they would use them against traditional Americans involved with an insurrection to save this nation if they felt they could get away with it.

When you make that mistake, you lose a lot of credibility.
LOL Most of those “younger” ones couldn’t survive a week without someone bringing them food and lodging. Most of us “mid 60s” have learned to fend for ourselves and most of us hunted and are pretty good with no modern conveniences. We have dogs for first alert, and won’t be taken by surprise.
