He said at his birthday bash that he never said change would happen immediately. But I think he did say that if he hadn’t turned things around in three years he didn’t deserve a second term. So that change is going to come between November 2011 and November 2012?
Greenberg is advising a tactical shift, not a strategic change of direction. He suggests Dems say the words voters want to hear but there’s no way Dems can shed their skin and emerge as conservatives. Based on his advice you may hear them start to mouth the words though.
