Lower the standard of living for Americans and you can make them work for less. Through “affordability credits” and “welfare reforms”, they can adjust our way of life incrementally to maintain the perfect balance. Eventually, our labor is competitive with other 3rd world nations and our masters gain control of an educated and motivated work force in a continent-sized nation full of resources. With America under their heel, they can dictate terms to the rest of the world. The US becomes a world power again, but without all that pesky individualism and freedom.

I think you condensed it fairly well. I still don't see the point in all the destruction when they are already in power. Where I live people re really hurting and things are falling apart in ways we would never have imagined three years ago.
