Joe Biden is a landlord to the Secret Service.
That's right.
The Washington Times reports that Biden has collected $13,200 from the Secret Service since April to rent a cottage adjacent to his Wilmington, Del., home and continues to charge the agency rent. The Secret Service has agreed to pay $2,200 per month for use of the house in order to provide security to the Biden family.
(By the way, that's no discount on the rent--the Times reports that's the amount paid by the previous tenant.)
Some of the watchdog types interviewed by the Times questioned whether the agreement is appropriate, especially given Biden's deficit reduction leadership role. Leslie Paige, spokeswoman for Citizens Against Government Waste, said there's no question Biden deserves protection, "but this arrangement seems bizarre to me."

I thought the Clintons charged the SS rent at Chappaqua equivalent to their house payment. At least that is what I read just after he stepped down from the presidency. I don’t know what arrangements are provided for his many other residences — apartment in Harlem, apartment in Little Rock, Hillary’s Georgetown mansion, etc.
The Bush’s did the same thing. Politicians get more money being elected than not. Ridiculous. Of course 13 grand is chump change for the safety of the Vice President. You agree too if you are truthful.
He sholud have to claim the secret service coverage on his federal income tax return. I’m sick.
Biden gave an average of $369 to charity a year in the last 10 years.
I hope the Bushes didn’t charge rent at the ranch and Kennebunkport if agents stayed on their properties.
clinton is pulling this same scam...the secret service lives in “servants quarters” on his property here in Chappaqua- the rent he charges the gov’t for the secret service to stay on his property just so happens to equal the mortgage and taxes he pays on his house....la-di-da...

So, Plugs was renting this cottage to his mother for $2,200 per month. Real class there, Joe.

Every democrat I know is a leach and a parasite. Why should we be surprised?
If she was a wealthy lady and wanted to will some of it to Joe (which is her right) it would be a way of getting around some of the death tax that her estate would otherwise get dinged with.
Big deal - didn’t the Clinton’s charge $10K a month for their SS detail to live on their property?
Taxpayers pay for his protection and we have to pay rent to protect him too.
