A fire in downtown La Crosse on Saturday destroyed local headquarters for We Are Wisconsin, a Democratic organizing group, in addition to some apartments. No injuries were reported. A cause hasn't been identified, fire officials said.
Firefighters began battling the blaze about 9:30 a.m. We Are Wisconsin staff were inside when the fire broke out and escaped safely, group spokeswoman Kelly Steele said.
Peggy Hatfield and Cathy Dunaway of Madison noticed the blaze while getting coffee near the building about 10 a.m.
"You could see smoke coming out of the top of the building," Hatfield said.

What's wrong with that?
“We Are Wisconsin staff were inside when the fire broke out and escaped safely”
“That pretty much negates any claim of arson by the opposition.”
My thought exactly. Initially, I thought they’d claim arson (and no investigation could be completed before the recall elections). They’d have gained that strategic advantage.
100 % correct and fixed it for you
Two houses of dem ill repute toasted in one fire ? There must be evidence of multiple crimes
We b toast!
Well,,, there were some apartments burnt up too. Somebody probably left the stove on. Of course I’m assuming the apartments were upstairs above the offices, which might not be the case.
“You could see smoke coming out of the top of the building,” Hatfield said.
Have to wait for the results of the investigation.
was it insured??????
If this was reversed DU would be praising the patriot who threw the torch through the front door.
I guess they lied so much their pants caught the place on fire.

And all the wee-wee-weeing they could manage didn’t help a bit.
