The article talked about wild boars with pseudorabies virus and that worries me a little bit... How do you know the boar you take is safe to handle (because you’re not supposed to handle the carcass of an animal that had rabies, much less eat it)? Anyway, if that issue could be addressed satisfactorily, you should get yourself a big horizontal freezer and lay down some fabulous meat. Keep it “full up.” You could save tons of money on groceries, assuming you’re not vegetarian. Just sayin’... Cheers!

We do not intend to eat them. The only wild boar that I have eaten was absolutely AWFUL! Strong and gamey and left a bad taste in my mouth.
