To: Recovering Ex-hippie

I still maintain that, if the economy remains this bad by early next year, Obama will be forced to not seek a 2nd term -- by the Dems. [Shades of LBJ]

They know they can't win if unemployment is still well over 8%, the recession is continuing, etc. Their only 'blessing' at present is that inflation/interest rates have stayed low and off the radar.

I was thinking about what you said (Obama not seeking second term) a minute ago. It’s obvious that the dems are disappointed in him.

But he would have to be persuaded to decline to run because any attempt to overthrow him would cost the dems their essential black vote.

Would Michelle give up the throne? Would Barry. He likes the power and the perks, if not the work.

You are sooo right...Obama may just get “sick”, after all he looks physically worse every week.

The Progressives and blacks had their first ‘black” President, and can easily go the “Obama was a Martyr to the Cause” mantra and shift tot he next Dem candidate whom Obama will endorse.
