I certainly don’t disagree with your statements and analysis. In fact, you did a nice job of articuation! I clearly understand the distinction between the “deal” and the “solution”. This might be an ok “deal” in that it is a first step towards turning around our March to Socialism. I would like to see more details though. However, it is not the “solution” that is ultimately going to solve our debt problem.

I don't think any serious person ever said it would be.

Pragmatists (not idealists) know that we are going to have to have much more power to really solve the debt problem. Having the House only is not enough.

However, to BLOCK Dems from implementing tactics which they've used for decades to grow Gov't so fast is a very significant move in the right direction IMO.

On top of that, this deal weakens Obama considerably which is a very large win...that moves us well along the path to achieving those significant gains we need in election '12.

Exactly. I didn't see this statement from you before I typed my last post...I think we're on the same page.

I agree with you. Tho I am verry skeptical, I am going to listen to Levin and Limbaugh on Monday—they have a very savvy and reasoned way of looking at news/politics. It will be interesting to see how these threads go on Monday.

I am so tired of seeing the kicking the can down the road. I grieve for my children and upcoming grandchildren.

I feel the the GOP had a chance to do something and didn’t. I feel very short-changed. Maybe Monday, maybe in a few months I will be proven wrong—I really hope so, but for now, I am verry skeptical and disappointed.
