If you have cuts of $1 trillion plus, why raise the debt ceiling?

If they can do this:

“If Congress does not approve those cuts by late December, automatic across-the-board cuts go into effect, including cuts to Defense and Medicare.”

Just do it and end the “crisis” now!

They aren't cuts. They're reductions in the projected rate of spending. Only in Washington does that count as a cut.

We will never see a decrease in the size and power of the federal gov't as long as our side continues to go long with the Democrats in labeling spending increases as spending cuts,
