“NASA Reveals Earth Releasing Heat into Space”
No!
You don’t say!
AlGore assured me that the heat was forever trapped on Earth and we were all gonna die!
[Nevermind that planetary bodies will always radiate heat into space, it is the rate of emission that varies..]
We have always known this. From the second law of thermodynamics we know heat flows from a warm place to a colder place.
The sun’s light is absorbed and becomes heat. The heat is sucked out by cold and stable space. The clouds and greenhouse gasses slow the radiation but never stop it.
The global warming thesis is that the retained atmospheric heat increases the earth’s temperature.
Isme? Wasn’t that the name of Isaiah’s horse? You know...whoa Isme!
Mostly, it goes to Washington, D.C.
OMG, now we are infecting the rest of the Solar System.
Thanks for the ping.
It is good to know that I no longer need to worry about being catastrophised by global death burning.
But, now what to do with those huge loans I took out because the world was gonna end and I wouldn’t have to pay them back?
Anyone have a list of the nicer homeless shelters and suggestions for a new name?
You messed up — you shoulda got elected to Congress first.
It's kinda like remembering to pillage BEFORE you burn....
Anyone with half a brain could tell you the earth sheds massive amounts of heat overnight. Texas would not be habitable at all during the summer if this were not the case.
“OMG, now we are infecting the rest of the Solar System.”
Several years ago (10!?) when they had taken photos of Mars and noticed that Mar’s ice caps were shrinking, I mentioned this to a environmental geology guy. “These big SUV’s causing Global Warming is getting so bad even the ice caps on Mar’s are melting.”
Being a fellow earth science type, I thought he would laugh at my humor. Instead “Wow - it REALLY is getting bad isn’t it? But you know Bush isn’t going to do anything about it.”
He was my client, so I didn’t slap him upside the head. I’m guessing he is more on the enviroMENTAL side than the geology side of things.
LOL
