I've heard a number of stories on it, from The Swimmer getting
Kerry a pardon from Carter, to the latest one, spawned by the
finally released news of his Swift Boat buddy losing the Silver
Star, that Kerry may have had a similar problem with two of his medals.

One Boston radio host tells a Kerry story. During a stint at a tv
station, a juicy Kerry story came to light, (can't remember if
Kerry was Sen or Lt. Gov), and all of the local media was
interested, and they cornered Kerry on the street that
weekend. Kerry hid behind his daughters...
