Considering the GOP only has one branch of government, it’s kind of hard to get bills passed.

They really can only block...and even then UP TO a point.

Anyone who thinks they can block enough to get CCB actually passed in the Senate is insane and needs to go to the loony bin tonight.

I don't pretend to know what is going on here, but the “expert” pundits sure as hell don't, as someone else pointed out. So forget whatever they are saying because they don't have a clue.

If I recall correctly, at least one Republican has to vote to table a bill in order to ever bring it up again. Bob Dole used to do this all the time. He would even change his vote at the last minute.

I think there is something to Teapartyers holding out to add BBA to Boner2 so that the Senate would not have a bill passed by the House that didn't have BBA in it. Why Boner tried to get one passed I don't know, but he may have had some kind of deal going with Reid and the TPers just won't trust Reid or Obama. Why should they?

There are rules and procedures and strategies that we and our pundit friends don't understand. Some things are afoot. Below the radar, people are still working their plans.

This ain't over, by a long shot. We will just have to wait and see. The pundits have shown their IGNORANCE, not their slips, leg, or brains.

Nothing good is going to come from this entire farse. It was meant to fail so they can put in McConnell's plan of giving Obama the debt ceiling increase as he wants with no real cuts in anything. Mark Levin has been talking about this and I believe he's right. For the people in the Republican party harping about not having taxes raised, Mark says it was actually Harry Reid who asked Obama not to push for tax increases because Reid knows that the 2012 election is coming up and does not that to be an election issue.

We've been BAMBOOZLED by the GOP establishment again. The good ole boys, including Boehner are laughing behind closed doors in their smoke filled rooms. And it's business as usual. We need to clear these vermin out. Mark the ones who sold us out and remove them from office.

The Democrat Party has become a hostile terrorist force who is now dedicated to the eradication of our Capitalistic way of life in America.

If the Left are not allowed to retain THEIR plan to continuously grow Government then they now are poised to disallow this country’s financial life blood to flow.

Another way to say this - they are poised for the killing blow to Capitalism.

The Senate’s choice to kill a Bill that would allow the Government to pursue a path of austerity completely shows their cards.

Pass a bill to reduce the budget flat out by 50%, allow 10% to manage the implementation, you’ve answered the requirement.

Nobody at the elevated positions of government are getting meticulous enough into the budget to make fiduciary accountable decisions, except perhaps in those areas where their finances have been corrupted.

Keep the budget simple, then let the managers below make the hard decisions. Their jobs will depend upon it.

I witnessed Harry Reid’s press conference where lyed through his yellow teeth and whined and blamed Republicans, as usual. But where the hell is the Republicans’ press conference telling America how Reid tabled BOTH bills and didn’t even allow an up or down vote, that the Reps have submitted to save our economy. Did I somehow miss that presser?

Once again, we have chosen a bunch of wussies (and I’m being nice here) to represent us in the GOP House.
