Live now on C-SPAN.
Can anyone get ahold of the names of the 22 Republicans that stood their ground and voted against this? AND, of the Republicans who voted for it? I’d ESPECIALLY be interested in getting the names of the “Tea Party” Freshmen who went ahead and voted for it.....
They are POLITICIANS!!!...lower than whale s#![
If Reid sends it back...There are two bills that the House
has passed ..the senate and Pres have done nothing in terms of crafting legislation. This keeps the whole issue in play..in the news..which Obama doesn’t want.
This may positively effect the Independents if they see Republicans as willing to work, to ‘compromise” , to make an effort. Independents are pragmatic, not ideological.
and Independents are the ONLY voters we care about for 2012..The Left and right will vote their ideology and are secured votes...the independents are not.
How pathetic is it that this wimpy bill couldn’t get a single RAT to vote for it?
Don’t be sad. Dingy will water it down and send it back to the House.
Bonehead will allow a vote and most RATS will vote for it. Bonehead played and used conservatives to get this bill over to Dingy Harry.
They were the only ones smart enough to read and heed Sarah’s memo ;>)
See my #74...the vote count will tell you NOTHING!!!!!
Can someone explain what the big deal is about having a balaced budget amendment? California and lots of other states have one, and California is going deeper and deeper into debt. Seems a balanced budget amendment is useless.
Basically getting around the ability of an objecting senator to tie up the "motion to proceed to the consideration of ..." step.
good because it keeps the issue alive and
a BBA forces Americans to pay for the welfare state.
local sales taxes will go up, deductions eliminated, more potential taxes on the middle class, etc.
(people will finally see what big government REALLY costs- and probably decide it’s not worth it)
Yes.
According to Fox, Tim Scott, Trey Gowdy and Tom Latham all voted no AFTER the bill had passed. Apparently they would have voted yes if necessary.
Then Obama will trump them all with his next move which will make him the hero.....checkmate!
I don’t watch enough votes to notice what the time leg is for the roll call to be posted. It takes longer that necessary as these votes are registered electronically.
Forget the BBA.
There is no chance WHATSOEVER that it has 290 votes in this House.
her memo? I never heard her stand against this clearly like Bachman.
So FOX says...but did they?...and who were the other three?...how can we know?
WE CAN’T. We’ll have to rely on their word...LOL~!
“Thus the Republicans will look like the problem...the Democrates will shine for co-operating....and Obama will be the Savior of the Nation once again.”
Yup. And he will be re-elected in a landslide for “saving the day,” and the Republicans will probably lose the House to boot.
218-210
a real barnburner. it t’was..
Well two congressmen from Minnesota (Bachmann and Cravaack) voted no. Woo hoo! Somne other no votes, Amash, Broun, Chaffetz, DesJarlais, Duncan(SC), Gowdy, Graves(GA), Huelskamp, Johnson, Jordan, King(IA), Latham, Mack(FL), McClintock, Mulvaney, Paulm, Scott(SC), Southerland, Walsh, Wilson(SC). Don’t see Louie Gomert anywhere.
