I think Boehner know has the votes:

Ron Paul emails list: “Debt Ceiling Betrayal Imminent.” WHAT DOES HE KNOW?
To: RummyChick
Ron Paul might be crazy but he knows enough history to see it coming.

If Boehner is threatening to withdraw GOP support for the fight to keep Boeing in SC, he needs to go now. His tactics should be publicized and he needs to be sent packing.

Not only that but I think he’s cutting a deal with Reid even as we speak.

If Boehner can’t get this bill passed tonight, he will resign as Speaker tomorrow. Just my gut feeling. Of course that will make many around here happy. It won’t be any easier for the next guy. Right or wrong, the Tea Party folks are making life interesting on Capital Hill.

It’s not Dems vs. Republicans, or even Socialists vs. conservatives, but elites vs. normal people.

Bingo Paul. We have a winner! Excellent summation of what is going on. Care to guess the solution? Come on now. It's on the tip of your tongue. Speak to me my man.
We want a Balanced Budget Amendment and...and...come on. Come on. You can say it. It's OK. You will find lots of supporters if you says those two special words.

yesterday I sent Mr. Boehner my second email after his famous “get your ass in line” comment. IT was ugly and I am not proud of my language, but I stand behind it. IT was titled “how does it feel to destroy the best country on earth “? In the body of the email I suggested that Mr. Boehner pull his head out of his A— and start trying to save this country by STOPPING THE SPENDING OF MONEY THAT WE DO NOT HAVE. I strongly suggested that if he was not up to that job that he please resign “and take that old man McCain with him. Yes John was a war hero (?) but that was over 40 years ago and people do change. It is time to crap or get off the pot. Save my country! If you are determined to destroy this country may God inflict upon you all with the plagues of Egypt, the apocalypse, and may you burn in perdition forever.
