Casey Anthony walked out of a Florida jail and made a carefully orchestrated escape from the media mob that had followed her throughout her daughter's murder case.
Now Anthony wants the attention back. According to several rumors now floating around, including one from Nancy Grace, Anthony and her team of lawyers are seeking at least $1.5 million from television networks interesting in landing her first post-penitentiary interview.
Networks deny that there's any bidding war afoot for an Anthony interview--though as The Cutline has noted, it's not at all unusual for networks to sidestep charges of checkbook journalism by paying big licensing fees for permission to use photo or video footage from an interview subject, as ABC did in a six-figure deal for home movies from Jaycee Dugard, who had been held for 18 years as a sexual captive in California. This time out, however, ABC probably wouldn't be among Anthony's pursuers in the event of a media bidding war, since the network recently announced it was retiring the policy of padding licensing-rights deals for interviewees.

That is the only way to get through to networks - hit 'em in the pocket book.
It’s nice to know that as of today those parents are finally sick of the media spotlight. Especially the pugnacious and camera-hogging Cindy.
Any network paying this person should consider the repercussions of losing sponsors and viewers... also, respect, not that there’s a lot of that associated with TV networks!
If I had it, I would put a $1.5 million bounty on her head.
TG I don’t have to look at that child-killer-enabler Cindy’s face anymore.
Shell be a welfare bum before you know it. After her lawyers are done with their cut, shed be lucky to have enough to buy a coffee machine with She’ll probably get less than 10 percent. The cost of those lawyers will be hanging round her neck until shes dead... Which may happen sooner, rather later.
Needs payoff money for the jurors.
Whatever she gets on the free market, I hope that Florida wises up and goes after her for every penny spent for the trial.
The money’ll be up her nose before Florida ever sees a dime. She’s Amy Winehouse without any talent.
The loathsome Cindy. Yuck!
How do you deal with that lightening? I used to go to Orlando once a year and the lightening frightened the hell out of me. I remember in the book “Marley: The World’s Worst Dog,” Marley the Dog almost died of shock from the terrible noise. And I’m not at all scared of Northeast thunder and lightening.
I do remember the lightening that hit poor little Caylee’s watery grave.
I guess you do get used to it. To me, it was an amazing and frightening display of Nature’s power!
I heard on WOWO radio that Headline News already got the interveiw for $1M.
Kill, your baby, toss her in a ditch, become a millionaire.
Only in America.
If that story about the Aussie is true (which I doubt unless it’s proven first) then they’d have to find somewhere other than Oz to live as they have some mighty strict rules about who they let in and you can get denied entry on the basis of character - which means Casey would have NADA chance of residing, let alone visiting, there.
That's hard to believe...
