I've heard Huckabee took a swipe at Perry (I think the Huckabee is supporting Bachmann this week).
The old huckster is a bit like O'Reilly -- needing constant attention.

Yawn!
The American people want jobs!
Perry knows how to create jobs: get the government out of the way, lower taxes, that’s what created jobs in Texas and that’s what will create jobs in the US.

Perry just announced a firm commitment to join the race in about 2 weeks. (Mid August) This is certainly a more honest way to conduct a campaign. Instead of “Maybe I will, maybe I won't, I'll get back to you on that in maybe August, Septemberish, about what I will do.”
Doesn't that sort of remind you of a Prom Date? Making the poor boy wait in the living room with the parents while the fickle little tease sits in the bathroom upstairs, still putting on her makeup.

If you are touting Palins executive experience, Perry has 5 times as much.

Honest Rom's Used Cars! I always liked that picture because I have always thought of him that way.
You can bet that the Romney crowd is attacking Perry as well. Romney loves T-Paw, who would be his first choice for VP if he were to do the unlikely and win.
Or, (Heaven forbid) Giuliani.............(Double UG!)

It will be interesting to see how many votes Perry gets out of this new write-in feature on the ballot. The Iowa GOP might regret their decision, even though I understand they are acting on tradition, by only listing actual official candidates.

Had a couple of very interesting conversations last night with people I really respect. One said to ignore the write ins and go with who would be second choice but on the ballot and the other said to write in Perry’s name.
It’s a called strategizing and I see no clear answer. I just saw somewhere in here there will be radio ads running in Iowa to encourage Perry’s write in.
I will probably go with that but if I don’t, I’ll go with Santorum.
I even asked Katie Koberg who is working with the Perry campaign what to do and she didn’t really express an opinion. Maybe it’s not clear yet what they want done.

Why would he endorse someone who isn’t running?

If Perry polls this strong among 5500 likely voters in a generic and nonpartisan poll and gains 48%, you might be surprised that even though he has been left off the ballot, the write-ins will be significant in his favor.
Perry's Texas record is resonating all across the country and the voters like what they see.

If your prediction about who runs is true, I’ll be Happy, too.
However, in the meantime, since neither has declared, why tear him down? Why be his OPPONENT, now?
Why write Obama’s ads against any of them unless you want to give aide to Obama?
