Yeah, luck happens. I know a guy in Montana (an old hunting buddy) who dropped a 6 point with his 22LR (it’s legal in Montana). Has a great trophy on his wall, and you can feel the hole right in the middle of the forehead where he tagged it with the little round.

Yeah, luck happens, but I prefer to not count on it and increase my odds with as much firepower as I can carry...;)

Oh, that’s not real luck, real “LUCK” is the old Eskimo woman who dropped a Griz in her yard with one shot from a .22 bolt action rifle!
She hit it through soft palate and into the brain when it roared at her, from about fifty feet.

Ex Alaska native who told me the story related that the old gal refused to believe she needs a bigger gun.

I also recall a report of some kids in Oregon?
They managed to kill a black bear with a 9mm after dropping the shotgun in the river.
