The time frame is a big issue with Obama. He insists the deal goes through to 2013 to avoid hurting his poll numbers at election time.
Trump was on FOX yesterday said the Republicans need to stand firm on their shorter time frame. If they keep the time frame before election Obama will have a tough time being re-elected, this is a big issue with voters.

Actually, if zero would like to have the debt ceiling off the table for next years election....then have the senate pass the CCB bill. That actually is his only choice...

Trump is right. Reid made the comment that Repubs were insisting on the shorter time frame to "embarass" obama as he was running for reelection. "Embarass"? That's what this whole situation is for obama - embarassing. The Repubs aren't cowtowing to what obama "knows" is right for this country. It's already forced him to come out how many times spouting the same exact proposals over and over? Quite embarassing for someone who is always right.
Embarass him.
