He is being questioned under the countrys terrorism laws and is cooperating with the investigation, they said.
We are not sure whether he was alone or had help, a police official, Roger Andresen, said at a televised press conference, adding: What we know is that he is right-wing and a Christian fundamentalist. So far Mr. Breivik has not been linked to any anti-jihadist groups, he said.

Some of that “Free Mason” nonsense is coming from PrisonPlanet (Alex Jones). More of his nonsense.
>Aerial Photo of shooter standing with rifle shooting....kids on the ground....
Who took that picture and why did they not have a rifle to take out the shooter? Any airborne cop could have taken him out.
>>Right. He listed his religion as Christian and his politics as Conservative on his Facebook page. Case closed.<<
Youre being sarcastic, I trust.

but the killer had already planned the attack, and then, just a few days ago, created the FB page. zero friends. everything public. and ALL in English...
FWIW, bombing the building on a holiday puts me in mind of the Reichstag Fire.
If true, this psycho does not understand the right wing OR Christianity. These are not the kinds of acts true conservatives or Christians even contemplate - in fact they are beyond detestable.
Here is a more reasonable discussion link about his Masonic affiliation:

It appears in Norway to be quite different from here in the U.S.
Exactly.
He is just as likely to be furious with the lefty government because it is not lefty enough.
Their cowardice.
I think cowardice is the reason members of the press are sycophantic to Muslims. If journalists feared Christians would chop off their heads for defaming Christianity, they would no longer defame Christianity.
I guess I really can't blame them.
Same as Columbine, the cops dawdled while waiting for the right team to arrive.

Contrast with the female officer at Fort Hood.
Facebook page only went back 3 days before the attack. Either the page was new, or he (or whoever) deleted all of the previous postings. And, of course, everything on Facebook is always 100% accurate and the absolute truth. /s
And no friends?? And isn’t the photo of him on the page just a little too good. How many people have studio shots of themselves with subtle lighting for their Facebook page.
My first impression is the page was designed to cast Breivik in a certain light. And the idiot media has looked no further.
Mission accomplished.
“I doubt he had any Christian motivations, but he probably had neo-nazi ones.”
That was my first thoughts as well
The closest ideological relatives to the American right are in Canada, Australia, and Great Britain. I suppose you could call it English conservatism because its deepest roots are probably there.
Thanks for the corrections. I guess my IIRC (if i recall correctly) was incorrect. I knew the jist of it was that Swedish law was pretty lax and that justice was never served. Thanks!
Then maybe you have some idea about what I have been saying. islam is insane inside and out. Those who are already insane feel kinship and acceptance within islam. They feel “understood.” Their paranoia is fed, often with drugs. And their deepest, darkest fantasies are encouraged and supported all the way through to fulfilment.
Chanting verses from the koran can and does induce a trancelike state, especially if you are listening to an experienced, well trained imam. The way they use pitch and tone and rhythm is hypnotic.
Being that building and civilian targets were political, this man may be the tip of an iceberg of an underlying shared grievance in his country, that he felt his government was not addressing. So this was his (murderous merciless) way of petitioning his government.
Do you read Pournelle’s day book?
I’m a huge fan and patron.
Well if it turns out that he claims to be a Christian and a conservative I will be vocal in saying that he doesn’t represent my faith or my political viewpoints. Figured I’d be a hypocrite if I didn’t since I’ve always said I wanted to hear the same from Muslim leaders.
If you search FR for “Fjordman” there are quite a few hits.
