Bachmann Releases Doctor's Note on Migraines as Pawlenty Says Candidates Must Be Able 'To Do All of the Job, All of the Time' ABC News' Matthew Jaffe (@matthewbjaffe) reports from Indianola, Iowa: When Republican presidential candidates Michele Bachmann and Tim Pawlenty descended on Iowa today, both faced questions about whether or not Bachmann's migraines would impede her from doing the job of president. Meanwhile, Bachmann issued a letter from the Attending Physician of the U.S. Congress arguing that Bachmann's migraines occur "infrequently and have known trigger factors of which you are aware and know how to avoid." The letter, from the Dr. Brian Monahan, the top doctor for Congress, is addressed to Bachmann and reads: "When you do have a migraine, you are able to control it well with as-needed sumatriptan and odanestron. It has not been necessary for you to take daily scheduled medications to manage thi condition." Monahan further clarifies that Bachmann has "not needed medical attention" from his office regarding her migraines "with the use of the above mentioned commonly used therapies."

Actually...a one-liner on Bachmann’s medical history...is a thousand times more than what the President has handed out. The media might be careful about mentioning this.
A wise move by Bachmann. A rare wise move, I might add, since she hired Ed Rollins.
The entire sorry episode was simply a media smear and should be discarded. We will not allow the leftist media to disqualify our candidates.

Agreed. She does herself no good by releasing her records. Does she think this will satiate the Lame Streamers? That this will end the issue?
Probably a net plus for her imho. Candidates, especially successful ones need stuff like this to show what they’re made of. She’s a fighter.

Being President might introduce her to new triggers.

Any GOP candidate who releases anything beyond a one line letter on their health is a fool. Just tell the press..you have the same input as Hussein.

Actually, the smart move is to now ask the President to now release his, as a show of good faith.
Obama should be asked if he will be taking that vaccine any time soon.

This was likely very necessary. You may not like it, but if she hadn’t it would have hung out there. She cannot move on until she’s dealt with it. Now, she has.
