Bachmann Releases Doctor's Note on Migraines as Pawlenty Says Candidates Must Be Able 'To Do All of the Job, All of the Time' ABC News' Matthew Jaffe (@matthewbjaffe) reports from Indianola, Iowa: When Republican presidential candidates Michele Bachmann and Tim Pawlenty descended on Iowa today, both faced questions about whether or not Bachmann's migraines would impede her from doing the job of president. Meanwhile, Bachmann issued a letter from the Attending Physician of the U.S. Congress arguing that Bachmann's migraines occur "infrequently and have known trigger factors of which you are aware and know how to avoid." The letter, from the Dr. Brian Monahan, the top doctor for Congress, is addressed to Bachmann and reads: "When you do have a migraine, you are able to control it well with as-needed sumatriptan and odanestron. It has not been necessary for you to take daily scheduled medications to manage thi condition." Monahan further clarifies that Bachmann has "not needed medical attention" from his office regarding her migraines "with the use of the above mentioned commonly used therapies."

Yes I hope if she’s asked about it in the future she refers people to the doctor’s statement released. It should put the issue to bed, but it does embarrass the Daily Caller so I’m sure they’re not done with their smears.

No medically based criticism or comment regarding any candidate is valid until Resident Obama releases his medical records.
The left is certain that her health is not up to the task. The same as they said of McCain. Meanwhile braindead democrats like Ted Kennedy, Robert Byrd, and others have been permitted to vote in office.
How is this NOT like the whole birther controversy?
Well this is somewhat off topic but really, isn't that somewhat revealing?: "the top doctor from congress..."
Frankly, if she suffers from such debilitating headaches and they have not been cured, she needs to step aside.
I don't want a president that suddenly succumbs to a headache while an international crisis unfolds.
Further, if she were elected and a migraine hits, her enemies (and there will be enemies higher up) try to get her removed, there's a good chance they could.
So, anyone with any health issue is disqualified in your wisdom?
With that comment I have a disclaimer. Of all the candidates I named in my last post Palin and her patenting her name bothers me way more than any concerns I have for any of the others right now.Your comment saying that Bachmann should speak on the issues and skip this is not taken as constructive criticism being that your chosen candidate cannot even make up her mind to run and Patents her name. I really think she is wise as she has said she does not need a title to help.IMO her best fit a this time would be energy sec- drill baby drill. Palin is a superb lady.

Michele should have said that she would release medical records, info about the migraines, etc., when that nitwit in the white house releases his, as well as his long form BC and his real SSN.

Hey I call em like I see em. No emotion involved and first intuition. (usually I call it pretty good). Dont think she needed to respond. Its a migraine thats it, it is really all it is. Common sense. I can see a discussion regarding Cain? Why? He has had cancer, that is a legit question
Bachmann should consider this done. If reporters keep asking questions about it, and they will, she should craft a serious-sounding response that includes something like, “What I’d like to know is how the President is coming along with the physician-recommended moderation of his alcohol intake?” Since the press provided Obummer cover on that, they’d be more likely to quit asking Bachmann about her headaches if she brought it up everytime they asked.
In the end this may turn out as a plus for her campaign. She got some free publicity and some women will identify with her common problem. I hope this backfires on her accusers.
I’m still not sure what my migraine triggers are.. and I have researched the heck out of this.. seen countless doctors, had an MRI..
I’m sorry to say it, but this disqualifies her in my opinion.I am a migraine sufferer, and if she had these attacks on any kind of regular basis, she would not be able to do her job. God forbid she had a migraine in the middle of a large crisis.
