Rick Perry For President? Meet 24 Billionaires Who've Backed Him

In a federal race like the presidency, each donor can only give $2,500 per candidate. However, there's nothing stopping powerful 'bundlers' from collecting checks from their rich friends. President Obama is already taking advantage of these super - donors: billionaire Democrats including Penny Pritzker and Marc Benioff have already raised hundreds of thousands for the reelection campaign. Perry must be hoping his past billionaire donors will do the same. Per Texas state disclosure records:

My congressman defeated an incumbent democrat on less than half the money raised by democrats. $8 million raised by democrats vs $3.5 million raised by the GOP.

Guess I’m just not impressed with people who are for sale and see the presidency as something that can be bought.

Just the other day someone was covering for Steve Wynn by saying that he’s just covering his bases by supporting both democrats and republicans. In my opinion, they shouldn’t see giving to either side as advantageous.

Really? So who is providing all those high paying jobs to the citizens of Alaska and why oh why was there not a tax on the fishing industry? Big money in fishing going to a handful of boat owners.

How can she say Obama shouldn't put a windfall on "Big Oil" but she can and I wonder how her husband would have appreciated a nice big tax on his livelihood, fishing Alaska's waters for an Alaskan natural resource to sell for profit.

You don't have to live on the border to know how to deal with this issue. Two things need to be done to deal with this very effectively and Sarah is in support of both of them and Rick Perry is against both of them:

1. At the Federal Level: Physical fence along the complete border.
2. At the State Level: Implement laws like AZ1070.

Well, the Alaska Constitution does say that. Is states that the resources are the property not of the state, but of the citizens of the state. Pretty simple concept.

I don't know, you'd have to ask Governor Palin, and the Republicans and Democrats who supported the bill and voted for it.

BTW, you do know that the bill passed by I believe a margin of 59 to 1, right?

So trying to use the statement she teamed up with Democrats as some type of knock on her is rather ineffective and falls into the area of propaganda.

Yes I would, but you are putting up another Red Herring, because you could have a fence on our side of the Rio Grande and still give access to American Citizens to the River.

You just stated what I have been thinking about a physical border fence. It would restrict Texans, their cattle and our game animals from that water. I am not suggesting we do nothing and I am not suggesting I have a plan but that land right up to the center of the Rio Grande belongs to Texans.

So she did team up with Dems and passed a bill taxing job creators in the natural resource industries(just not all, like Todd’s business) and then quit after doing it, retiring with an 80% approval rating halfway through her first term by giving $1200 dollar checks out. How conservative of her, oh and she thinks ceding the Rio Grand to the Mexicans is a fine idea, at least according to you.

Here's what he said in Mexico city:

“I don’t think this is that difficult an issue if Congress would have the maturity to sit down and really discuss it and cut out all the mean rhetoric,” Perry said during a break in the third day of meetings with Mexican officials and business executives.”

Not speaking specifically about any particular bill.

“We need those individuals to continue to grow our economy,” he said of Texas’ undocumented workers, most of whom hail from Mexico. “The vast, vast majority of those individuals want to come and work and take care of their families.”

Sound to me like he wants to allow more workers to come from Mexico legally. Again shifting the focus to Washington.

Hispanics are miffed at obama because he hasn't delivered on his campaign promises and has deported nearly a million.

Might be a good time for a border Governor to take the lead?

I don't suggest do nothing either and I think if Arizona or New Mexico want a fence, go for it but to have people 3000 miles away tell us a border fence in Texas is a must or your some open borders Rino is what comes out a bulls ass.

Correct. My impression of Rick Perry is only a little better than my impression of Mitt Romney or George Bush-- they might be nice guys. But they are definitely RINO's. The fact that Sarah Palin was courteous to him means nothing more than the fact that she was also courteous to Juan McCain.

Hight accurate and sensible interpretation of the facts.

Just because Sarah didn't call PRIC Rick something along the lines of "windsock" doesn't make it so. That is just Sarah being a smart team leader.
