Travesty though it was, it was a state level murder case, and the Federal government should have no place there.

I’m not so sure it was a travesty... This was no hung jury, it was an acquittal. The 12 jurors sat through the trial, heard all of the evidence and ALL said she was not guilty.
They must not have had any evidence, in which case the verdict was proper. Certainly she was guilty in her “trial in the media”, but we know what legal and ethical standards they have.
What would have been a travesty would be convicting her without evidence...
